Dynamo Dresden | Ulf Kirsten celebrates victory in the K-Block!

Dynamo Dresden

Dynamo Dresden remains the measure of all things in the 3rd league, also defeating Preußen Münster 1-0. The tenth home win in a row for the confident league leaders is deserved, but a lot of hard work.

Coach Markusbeginn had to change his starting eleven twice due to injuries. Schäffler starts for captain Kutschke (thigh problem) for the first time this season. And golden boy Park moves into the team at the back left. Bünning plays for Kraulich (torn hamstring) in central defense.

And the hosts are immediately on fire. On his first attempt, Schäffler hit the post (7th), five minutes later he scored an early 1-0 lead after Zimmerschied’s preparatory work. Tailored start!

Schäffler and Münster –

There was something there: six years ago, the striker scored three times against the Prussians, back then in the service of Wehen Wiesbaden (6:2). Sounds like your favorite opponent.

His predecessor, Ulf Kirsten, sees the goal from an unusual perspective: The dynamo idol, now in office as the SGD’s sporting advisor, is standing in the middle of the K block. And cheers enthusiastically for the leadership.

However, Münster is taking part. Their top scorer Batmaz even has a great chance to score, but Dresden’s Lewald thwarts them with a mega tackle.

After the racy initial phase, the game calms down. Until, after about half an hour, the kettle suddenly boils again.

Reason:

Prussia’s Bazzoli checks the captain directly in front of the Dynamo bench with no chance of the ball. Pack formation, yellow for the sinner. Fortunately, Hauptmann can continue with his knee heavily bandaged.

There is still a chance on both sides until the break. But Mrowca narrowly misses for the SC, Zimmerschied fails against guest keeper Schenk (45th).

With the narrow but deserved lead we go into the dressing rooms, which leaves the almost 29,000 spectators in the once again sold-out Harbig Stadium happy.

Shortly after the break they were already screaming for goal, but Schenk deflected a powerful shot from Zimmerschied around the post (47th).

However, Münster, spurred on by this, now increases the pressure significantly. However, this gives the Dynamos room to counter, making the game extremely exciting and even breathtaking in this phase.

Because Zimmerschied and the substitutes Berger and Lemmer missed the decision, it remained extremely exciting until the final whistle. The jubilation is all the greater when referee Max Burda ends the thriller.
