Kristin Chenoweth worries not fighting for the harm she endured while filming “The Good Wife.”
Despite being “practically murdered” whenever a piece of lighting equipment struck her in the face.
The 54-year-old actress who joined the cast of the judicial drama in 2012 said that “fear and worry” prevented her from pursuing legal action.
“Don’t ever let fear dominate your life,” she said. I didn’t [suit up] out of fear and trepidation.
As a result, I have ongoing injuries.
I wished I had listened to my father when he advised me to do this. We are not the family who is suing.
But when you are almost murdered.
“I heard what sounded like a flagpole. I heard the exact words “We’re losing the light.” Action, I heard. And there, in Bellevue [Hospital], I awoke.
I was thrown onto a curb after being struck in the face by it. Seven-inch skull fracture, teeth, ribs, and hairline fracture.”
The former “Wicked” actress continued, “I later found out that my hair extensions “saved [her] life,” and she laughingly advised fans to have fake hair pieces fitted for themselves for their own health’s sake.
After the event, the actress abruptly left “The Good Wife,” and her final appearance on the show was as journalist Peggy Byrne in just two episodes of the fourth season.
She said on “Watch What Happens Live” that anyone who wants to get artificial hair should do it for their health.
