Mark Lee was born on August 2, 1999 is a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter currently based in South Korea. He is a member of the South Korean boy band NCT, as well as its permanent sub-units NCT 127 and NCT Dream and the South Korean supergroup SuperM.
After passing the SM Global Audition in Vancouver, Canada, Mark joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2012.
He was introduced as a member of SM Rookies, a pre-debut team of trainees under SM Entertainment, on December 16, 2013. As part of the SM Rookies program, he and
several of his co-members appeared in October 2014 on the Mnet-produced Exo 90:2014, a show starring labelmates Exo in which they perform dances to K-pop songs from the 1990s.
