Details: In light of the escalating COVID instances in China and other nations, this comes after Union Minister of Health Mansukh Mandaviya on Thursday informed the Parliament that India will begin randomly testing 2% of all overseas travellers entering at its airports for COVID-19.
As on Saturday, December 24, 2 percent of all foreign passengers arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport will be subjected to post-arrival Covid testing, according to a statement released by Mumbai International Airport Ltd. (MIAL) on Friday.
“Such travellers will be recognised by their respective airlines and sent by the airline employees to a special location at the Terminal for their RT-PCR tests,” the statement that was released said. The samples must be turned in before the passengers can go on their next flight. The laboratory must set up a digital copy of the test findings for direct delivery to the passengers.
