At the 20th CIFF “Chennai International Film Festival”, Vijay Sethupathi won the Award for best Actor.

CHENNAI-TN: The 20th “CIFF” Chennai International Film Festival conducted from December 15 to December 22 at a multiplex in the city.

This year’s festival featured 120 films in all.

The Tamil Film Festival Competition featured films including Iravin Nizhal, Kasada Thapara, Aadhaar, Gargi, Kida, Maamanithan, O2, Irudhi Pakkam, Beginning, Yuddha Kaandam, and Natchathiram Nagargiradhu.

Actor-director R Parthiban awarded the Special Jury Award for Iravin Nizhal, while Chimbudevan’s Kasada Tabara won the Second Best Film Award.

Renowned director Venkat Prabhu, whose production company, Black Ticket Company, worked on Chimbudevan’s Kasada Tabara, says he is thrilled that his movie received.

“I’m thrilled that our movie won the prize.

We didn’t anticipate it. Because of the director Chimbudevan’s distinct vision, the prize has only been granted for the film’s idea.

I did all I could to be a producer.

Because he believed in us, invested, and published the movie, R Ravindran of Trident Arts, who presented the movie, had an equal contribution.

We attempted to have a theatrical run, but Covid prevented us from doing so. This movie was made specifically for theatres since the ratio changes so quickly,

20வது CIFF “சென்னை சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழாவில்”, விஜய் சேதுபதி சிறந்த நடிகருக்கான விருதை வென்றார்.

20வது “CIFF” சென்னை சர்வதேச திரைப்பட விழா டிசம்பர் 15,2022 முதல் டிசம்பர் 22,2022 வரை நகரத்தில் உள்ள மல்டிபிளக்ஸ் ஒன்றில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.

இந்த ஆண்டு விழாவில் மொத்தம் 120 படங்கள் திரையிடப்பட்டன.

தமிழ் திரைப்பட விழா போட்டியில் இரவின் நிழல், கசட தாபரா, ஆதார், கார்கி, கிடா, மாமனிதன், ஓ2, இருதி பக்கம், ஆரம்பம், யுத்த காண்டம், நட்சத்திரம் நகர்கிறது உள்ளிட்ட படங்கள் இடம்பெற்றன.

இரவின் நிழலுக்காக சிறப்பு ஜூரி விருதையும்,

சிம்புதேவனின் கசட தபரா இரண்டாவது சிறந்த திரைப்பட விருதையும் வென்றது.
