History of Photography Day
The history of photography, which preserves everyone’s history through photographs, is very old. Let us tell you that the celebration of World Photography Day started in France in 1837. Joseph Nicephore and Louis Dogger of France started this day on 19 August. After this, the then government there had announced to celebrate this day. Since then, World Photography Day is celebrated every year on 19 August.
The first picture
In today’s era, photographers use cameras with more than one latest technology to take photographs. So there is a smart phone in everyone’s hand to capture any moment in seconds. But how was this possible when the first picture was taken? Let us tell you that in the year 1839, a person named Robert Cornelius set up a camera to take a picture of his father’s shop in Philadelphia and then clicked the picture. Then after about 3 minutes of taking the photo, the portrait picture came out.

Programs are organized across the country on the occasion of this Day. A theme is set for them every year. This year the theme ‘Landscape’ has been fixed for World Photography Day 2023.
